What Not To Bring
Last Updated: Nov. 5, 2012
We ask that your camper not bring electronic equipment with them (i.e. cell phones, iPods, etc). You can keep in touch with your child through other available means (i.e. postcards, emails). Even in this day of digital communication, campers enjoy receiving snail mail. The camp environment is not friendly to costly electronics.
Other items not recommended are:
- Junk food or candy*
- Two-piece swimsuits or bikinis
- Radios, tape/CD/MP3 players
- Electronic games
- Cell phones
- Knives, slingshots, guns or any other kind of weapon
- Tobacco, alcohol, or illegal substances
* Counselors will keep any food brought by the camper until the Saturday night party.
** It is very easy for jewelry to break or become missing at camp. Dangling earrings, hoop earrings and necklaces can become hazards in several of camp's activities. If you're camper's ears are pierced, stud earrings are the best option.
Camp Ida-Haven has been, is now and should continue to be a heavenly place where the Idaho Conference of Seventh-day Adventist members of all ages may find physical, mental, social and spiritual refreshment, direction and fellowship.
Memories of Ida-Haven have eternal influence that provide lasting joy. Other Christian groups who use Ida-Haven learn of and appreciate Seventh-day Adventist values regardless of race, religion, color, sex, disability or national origin.
