What if my child is injured while at Camp?
Last Updated: Nov. 5, 2012
Despite all our precautions and safety measures, sometimes campers will sustain an injury while at camp. If your child is injured, we will contact you immediately and keep you informed of the situation. Sometimes our staff physician can take care of this issue at camp. However, if we need to take your child to the clinic or hospital, our insurance company will be the primary coverage up to $5,000. After that, your health care insurance will need to pick up the extra fees as needed.
In some cases we also have some limited excess insurance which will pay after your own health care insurance or any other available insurance has paid. If bills are sent to you directly, be sure to check with us so that our primary coverage takes care of them until the limit is reached. Please know that original billing statements are required by the insurance company.
