I Was a Camper for 8 Years

I was a camper for 8 years, and this summer will be my third on staff. The other day, I asked myself, "Why do I keep going back?" The answer seemed obvious—the amazing staff, being with the kids, trying new things, growing closer to God—the list goes on and on. But anothing thing that caught my attention was, "WHO would I be without Camp Ida-Haven?" For me, camp is a place where I can stop and truely find myself. I have grown so much from being there during the summers, and absolutely know God wants me there. My time at Ida-Haven has been a huge eye-opening experience in every aspect of my life. I know I don't—and never will—have it all figured out, but I DO know, that my time at Camp gives me the strength to put all my trust in God, and he will put me where he wants me. As long as He has a plan for me, I will let him lead. I thank Camp Ida-Haven for showing me that.
